Challenging the status quo, where do you go?

Every year during the International Women's Day march in Kuala Lumpur, women, the LGBTQ community and allies are subjected to a backlash on the internet for speaking their mind, for looking like they do and sometimes even for existing. For some, it is every year. For the rest, it is every day. Having witnessed this makes Junad M. Nor think that even in an intangible world some are not given space to be.

Junad visits and explores the places in Kuala Lumpur where some of her friends feel confident that they will not be exposed to discrimination, criticism, harassment, or any other emotional or physical harm.

Safe Space brings to light the vignettes in the lives of those who do not conform to the norm, where they are most comfortable in their own skin.
